Questions & Answers Regarding Childcare in Munich
Everything You Need to Know About Childcare at a Glance
How does the nanny placement process work?
It begins with a personal conversation in which we gain a precise understanding of your needs and your daily routine. Based on this, we select suitable nannies to present to you specifically. You then get to know each other through an interview and trial work days. We accompany you through the entire process until a decision is made and beyond.
How long does it take to find a suitable nanny?
This depends on the scope of care and individual requirements. In many cases, we can present the first suitable candidates within a short period of time. Our priority is not speed alone, but the quality of the selection.
How quickly can the care start?
As soon as a suitable nanny is found and both parties are in agreement, care can begin at short notice. The exact timing depends on the nanny’s availability and your planning.
How do you select suitable nannies?
We do not work with open profile databases. We get to know every nanny personally and select them based on your requirements. In addition to experience and qualifications, we pay particular attention to the personal level – that is, whether the collaboration can work in everyday life.
How do you ensure that the nanny is a good fit for the family?
A “Perfect Match” does not happen in a conversation, but in everyday life. That is why trial work days are a central part of our process. Only then does it become clear whether the chemistry is right and whether the collaboration can work in the long term.
Why do you not offer nanny profiles to choose from?
Because childcare does not work through profiles. A large selection sounds attractive at first, but often leads to uncertainty. We handle the pre-selection and only present nannies to you who could truly be a fit for your family.
What is the difference between a nanny, a babysitter, and an au pair?
A nanny works regularly and becomes part of the family’s daily routine. A babysitter is usually intended for individual hours or occasional assignments. An au pair lives with the family but has limited working hours and more of a supporting role. Which solution is right depends heavily on individual needs.
Is it possible to organize a probationary period or an introductory interview, and how long is it?
Interviews and trial work days are important and fixed components of our placement process. Up to 3 trial work days can be arranged. In addition, a probationary period of 3 or 6 months is contractually established.
When does a nanny make sense?
Whenever care needs to be regular, predictable, and reliable. A nanny is often the right solution, especially when there is a higher volume of care required or when organization and daily life must dovetail.
How much does a nanny cost in Munich?
The costs consist of the nanny’s salary as well as the agency’s fees. The salary is agreed upon individually and depends on experience, scope, and tasks. The placement fee is based on the scope of care.
Who employs the nanny?
As a rule, employment is handled directly by the family. This means that an employment contract is concluded between you and the nanny. We support you in this with guidance and experience.
What do I need to consider regarding employment?
A clear employment contract, the registration of employment, and compliance with labor law frameworks are important. We provide you with structured guidance on this so that you can take all relevant points into account.
Can I get to know the nanny beforehand?
Yes, absolutely. In addition to the personal interview, trial work days are a fixed part of our process. This gives you a realistic picture of how the collaboration works in everyday life.
What happens if it is not a good fit?
Especially in the initial phase, it may become apparent that the collaboration is not working as desired after all. In this case, we will continue to accompany you and support you in the search for a new solution.
What does the collaboration with a nanny look like in practice?
The nanny takes over childcare in everyday life, accompanies the children to appointments or activities, and assists with tasks related to the child. The exact arrangement is coordinated individually and is based on your family situation.
Is care also available for children with special needs?
Yes. We also work with families whose children have special requirements. An open exchange in advance is important here so that we can specifically select suitable caregivers.
